In our last month's Issue, we brought you a feature about frame-off restorations as we stressed the importance of not taking a chance on your project build burning up due to old wiring. Today, we are going to wrap up the install as the crew out at EG Auto electric work to finish up the wiring process on our 68' Super Sport Project.

American Autowire is no stranger to the automotive industry or to Impalas; they have been developing kits for years. This classic update kit gives you modern fuses and heavy-duty gauge wiring that will handle the modern technology that is being retrofitted into these classics.

When rewiring a car, you should try to have all of the parts that you plan on using ahead of time. For us, this includes everything from the Kinetik battery to our Dakota Digital gauges, and Ididit Steering Column. It is crucial to have these parts on hand in order to wire them up to the new electrical kit, and even then, you might find yourself having to take a few trips to the store, as we did with our project.

Now, let us show you how the pro electricians at EG Auto Electric install the American Auto Wire electrical kit for the wire up Project Fearless.

Here's the Hot paint Tip of the Month, brought to you by Axalta Coatings Systems and ACM Auto Body & Paint in Escondido, California.

Before you start to paint, consider watering down the spray booth, which will cause the humidity in the booth to increase dramatically. This will delay the drying time, which can be helpful if you're painting a complete car or if you want (or need) the extra time to paint. This can be especially valuable in low-humidity areas. And don't forget: if you want a flawless paintjob, it is important to wear a clean paint suit and to thoroughly clean the paint area with a tack rag before and after the sealer has been applied, and also after the paint has dried. For more paint technical advice, please feel free to contact product specialist Steven Chaparro at Axalta Coatings Systems Steven.C.Chaparro@dupont.com.
