In this month's Shop Talk, we paid Truespoke a visit as the Southern California based wire wheel company is legendary in the automotive world. When you hear the name "True Spoke," you think of old school and OG; the company's wheels have simply remained at the top of builder's wanted list for nearly four decades. As Truespoke nears its 40th anniversary, the company still builds their Truespoke wire wheels by hand, and the classic sizes are still available from 13 to 18 inches in diameter. The family-run business located in Fallbrook, California, was taken over by Dave and Linda Adler in 2003, after Cragar had shuttered the brand back in the '90's.
Thanks to the company's small staff, Truespoke is able to deal with its clients on a one-on-one basis as employees like sales specialist Luis Velasco maintain the company's commitment to helping out their loyal customers select the right wheel for their special car. Truespoke has also resurrected the TrueRay wire wheel, along with Truespoke spinners, and hex and dome caps with correct medallions. They use the finest materials and craftsmanship in building every set of Truespoke wheels, just like they have since the company's inception. With customers in nearly every country and wheels on many show-winning automobiles, Truespoke shows no signs of slowing down or fading into automotive obscurity.
If you feel like dressing your car with some OG wheels, make sure to visit Truespoke through the internet or if you're close enough to drive out, pay them a visit and make sure to mention that you read about them in Lowrider Magazine.
