In this month's Shop Talk, we visited the Edelbrock Corporation. The name certainly rings bells with automotive lovers as the company has been a staple in the aftermarket industry. In fact, Edelbrock is gearing up for their 75th Anniversary―a testament to the dedication the company has exemplified since it was established. With over seven decades of performance under their collective belt, the Edelbrock brand has been an industry leader since they developed their first intake back in 1938.
Today, the Edelbrock Corporation has seven locations; four in Torrance and three in San Jacinto, California, totaling over 500,000 square feet. The Torrance Headquarters include the R&D, manufacturing, state-of-the-art testing facilities, advertising, and tech support departments. With a made-in-the-USA mentality, Edelbrock invested in a Permanent Mold and Heat Treatment facility next to their existing sand-cast Foundry, which is located in San Jacinto, California. This space could easily be considered one of "the most state-of-the-art sand-cast foundries west of the Mississippi." Less than a mile away are the facilities for Russell Plumbing, as well as the company's Distribution Center and Vic's Garage. This location also houses the company's collection of street rods and classic cars, as well as the company archives, which document their extensive collection of historic photos and memorabilia.
The company is constantly adding parts to their catalog and inventory daily, so if you would like to order a classic 2101 intake and carb combination or a modern Edelbrock super charger system, make sure to look them up online. From the new powdercoated finishes to the Enduro Shine finish, Edelbrock has performance parts for you. Be sure to check their new products pages to see what's new for your vehicle, and remember to let them know that you saw them in Lowrider magazine!
