In this month’s Saul’s Shop Talk we pay Hubbard’s Impala a visit. Hubbard’s Impala Parts has been family owned and operated since 1993. The story of Hubbard’s is in line with the true American dream. The company began to take shape over 20 years ago when James Hubbard realized there were only a handful of products and dealers for full size Chevrolet cars. In true American spirit, James started selling weather stripping out of his van and going to as many car shows as possible, as he was trying to start the company from the ground up. He began to buy “new old stock” parts from closing dealerships and started reselling those as well. Soon, manufacturers began to realize that there was a market for Impala parts and began the production of more parts. With the wave of new parts being offered, Hubbard’s Impala Parts was beginning to grow. The van was retired as a warehouse and Hubbard’s moved into James’ backyard garage. The business continued to grow and soon, Hubbard’s outgrew the garage, so the time came to move to a small warehouse in Burlington, NC. In just a short amount of time, Hubbard’s inventory grew from just weather stripping to emblems, sheet metal, interior and just about everything you can think of for Chevy Impalas. Their old warehouse was bursting at the seams and within seven years, Hubbard’s had outgrown that building. In April of 2006, they moved into their new 30,000 sq. ft. building.

Hubbard’s Impala Parts specializes in parts for your 1958 through 1976 Impala, Biscayne, Bel Air, El Camino, Station Wagon and Caprice.
