Anthony Salazar is the man behind some of the sickest interior builds in the automotive industry and for years he's been overshadowed by the shops that have kept him in seclusion - till now. For the past few years, Top Stitch Upholstery has gained worldwide recognition as the authority on custom upholstery and with clients ranging from local to global, he's changing the game one interior at a time. Just stop by the shop and it's an experience in itself.

His quaint location, located in Montebello, CA, is sometimes overrun by the screams of trains that run behind his building, but jokingly, Anthony insists that he's going to make Top Stitch a stop off point for the train so customers can get cars their delivered direct. But even with the laughing set aside, it just may become a reality as his shop has hit record sales even during these harsh economic times. Just stop by the shop and you'll see a huge array of vehicles ranging from exotics to lowriders as well as an eclectic crowd of customers and friends that'll leave you with a great first impression - and a feeling of comfort. With shipments arriving daily, it's not foreign to see containers being shipped with full interiors from the Middle East or Texas and his business is a literal state of organized chaos. What's funny is the fact that Top Stitch is the only shop that you can see Lowriders, Phantoms, exotics and boats all grouped together.

From the simple to the melodramatic, his interior makeovers can get as simple or as wild as you'd like. His work has been confused with factory appointed interiors from Bentley and Rolls Royce, and his work is so good that dealerships can't even tell the difference. From the stitching, to the laser engraved logos, and hard to find fabrics, Top Stitch continues to reinvent the world of interiors, and his competition is no where in sight.

But what truly separates Top Stitch Upholstery from the rest of the pack is the simple fact that he genuinely cares about his customers, For Anthony, his work is more than an exchange of money for a service and his personality is devoid of the egotistical, fist-pumping attitude that many shops possess and simply put Anthony lets his work speak for itself. Each seat becomes a canvas of expression and every vehicle is treated as rolling portfolio of his capabilities. "I pride myself in the materials I use and even more important is the customer service", says Anthony. He further adds, "I'm only as good as my latest accomplishment and I can't be happy unless my customer is happy."

With that said, ask any seasoned car customizer or lowrider and they'll be the first to tell you that a fresh new paint job and a set of wheels is something that's best enjoyed by spectators and on lookers. On the flipside, the interior of your vehicle is what provides the true essence and soul of any ride, and it's the only part of the vehicle that you and your occupants can enjoy. As builders and vehicle owners, the interior is the only part of the vehicle that we have personal connection with. We enjoy the comforts of the seats, get to appreciate the stitching while having a physical contact with the materials used. With that said, it's left the playing field wide open for Anthony to create and craft, and when asked about his true motivation and desire to succeed, his response was simple yet powerful, "I do my best NOT for the accolades, awards or even the recognition. I do this all for my family. With out my wife and my two beautiful daughters, I would only be half the man I am today and they are my driving force."
