Willy wanted to show off the work that went into the trunk, and let us know that NYC's down with hot hydraulic setups. The setup was put together by Martin AKA "Dirty Sanchez" of Thornwood Auto Body in New York. The setup consists of four ProHopper competition pumps, four Marzocchi pump heads, polished tank plates, polished aluminum pump blocks, polished dumps, four pressure gauges, 3/8-inch return hard-lines, gold-plated Parker check valves, tank rods and two gold-plated accumulators for the rear pumps to give the Cadillac back some of its trademark ride. The setup's also running 3/8-inch lines to the rear and 1/2-inch to the nose. The rack and trunk floor were painted and gold-flaked to match the exterior. The trunk was also upholstered in burgundy to match the rest of the Caddy. The battery hold-down was dipped in chrome and the nuts were gold plated. All of the gold plating, polishing and necessary chrome was done by "Dirty" himself. This setup's one clean four-pump deal. It was built to turn heads and that it has. Keep up the good work, guys, and keep putting it down for the "Big Apple" and the East Coast.

1965 Buick Riviera Custom Trunk
BumpsOwnerMarco A. PatioVehicle'65 Buick RivieraCity/StatePico Rivera, CaliforniaClubZombies C.C.We've been hearing about Marco Patio's '65 Riviera project off and on for close to a decade, so we were excited when we actually spotted the completed car at the annual SEMA show where it was representing the lowrider industry in the Sony booth. The clean green Rivi was a long time in the making, as Marco built the car completely off of the frame and from the floor up.Since it was Sony that helped with the big push to finish the car in time for the SEMA show, it's a no-brainer that everything in the sound and video department is of Sony origin. From the XAV-C1 head unit to the six XVM-B62 monitors, it's a "visual explosion for driver, passenger and passerby." That's because you'll see the monitors from front to rear package tray to the trunk where a pair of them are located in the subwoofer enclosure. Jamie Fifield at Advantage Audio Autosports in Brea, California, pulled off the monster task of integrating the visual and audible gear.Four XS-V160HP midrange drivers are found up front in the kick panels, the rear deck for fill and in the trunk where they accompany a quartet of XS-L104P5B subwoofers in the custom candy purple enclosure. "Floating" in front of the enclosure is a pair of XM-1252GTR Sony Xplod amplifiers and just below them is a set of XM-D9001GTR amps to handle the heavy sounds. Jamie and then co-worker Roger used Dynamat, Scosche and Optima batteries to finish up the awesome sound system. They incorporated a chrome double-pump from Cool Cars that was installed by "Big Frank," formerly of Homie's Hydraulics in Paramount, California. This radical Rivi ride really has the best of both worlds-a super-modern Sony sound system and hydraulics, the "heart" of any lowrider. We congratulate Marco on the long-awaited completion of his lowrider, and for building a car well worth the wait.
