Go Flowmaster - Tech Project

Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Adjusting Exhaust
The front part of the exhaust kit was test fit for adjustments that needed to be made.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Exhaust Tip
We used the optional exhaust tips that came with the kit as the drop-down connectors only need minor adjustments to make it work.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Installing Headers
The headers were connected to the exhaust with an air impact tool.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Muffler Hangers
The exhaust kit comes with muffler hangers that were designed specifically for that vehicle.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Using The Provided Hangers
These pipes are going to be held in place with the provided hangers.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Flowmaster Hush Power Mufflers
There are many Flowmaster mufflers to choose from. We opted to use their Hush Power mufflers. Josh tightened the Hush Power into place with the clamps provided with the kit.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Drop Downs
The drop-downs were almost perfect. Even Flowmaster had no idea that they worked so well for our "block-hugger" headers. Here's a look at a finished drop-down connector, which was also welded to the exhaust kit.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Six Hangers Total
The kit has six hangers that are used throughout the frame, including this one that goes on the rear.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Using Chop Saw
Josh used a chop saw to trim the pipe to size.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Drop Down Connector
The drop-down connector went on perfectly and was mocked into place.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Modifying Rear Hump
After mocking up the rear hump, we realized that it had to be modified to allow the car to lay all of the way without being held up on the exhaust.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Stretching Hump Pipe
The hump pipe was stretched out 6 inches to allow the axle to go down all of the way without scraping when it's down.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Car Clearance
Here's a better view of the clearance before the rear exhaust pipes are welded
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Clearance Needed
Here's a look at all of the clearance that's needed to allow this car to lay without the pipes getting caught up in the brake calipers.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Rear Tips Welded
The rear tips were welded on and tucked so that they can't be seen unless the car's lifted.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Front Of Fully Finished Exhaust
Here's a look at the front part of the fully installed exhaust kit.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Test Fit
Josh test fit the rear part of the exhaust kit.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Preventing Leaks
Once Josh knew what he needed, he welded the pipes together to ensure that there are no exhaust leaks.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech Rear Tips Tucked
The rear tips were welded on and tucked so that they can't be seen unless the car's lifted.
Flowmaster Exhaust Tech No Tip Showing
There are no more tips visible and the car has a sleeker look.
