Media Blasting Rust Removal
Prep your classic for paint with a "physical" and rust removal treatment.
This was another obstacle to deal with and it looked like we were going to have to stop and reevaluate the situation. This is not how we wanted it to go, but now we had no choice but to do it right. The body had to be taken down to bare metal so we could start all over. The only good thing was that the car had not yet been painted. If it were, it would be an expensive loss as the paint would have to be stripped off as well.
Here's something you might want know. We had used Blasting Specialties in the past, but had never mentioned the LRM connection to them. All we ever got from this shop was great customer service and prices. We decided to go back to them and tell the readers about their services. When we spoke to the owner, Lee, he was jazzed and agreed to help us out on the project. He humbly told us that he couldn't believe that we actually knew about his shop.
Blasting Specialties can work with any budget and on any job, from a chassis to fenders, or, as in our case, the actual body. No job is too big or too small for this shop. "We'll try anything once,"are Lee's famous words. Now follow along as the specialists at Blasting Specialties clean up this body and leave it ready for the next step.
