Once the block was clean, Roger Theobald performed a magna-flux test to reveal even the smallest hairline cracks. None were found so it is usable.

Then the cylinder bore was measured and found to be .040 over stock. Due to bore taper and wear, the block will have to be bored and honed to .060 over.
