1999 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail - Disciple

A Bike Built And Conceived On Faith In The Lord

Henry Moreno has lived a couple of lives in his 42 years on this earth. Part of those years were spent doing things that youngsters do and some of it was less that savory activity. Later in life, finding himself in a warehouse job and living with a newfound appreciation for the Lord, things had certainly changed. Henry, in his newfound faith, found the strength to start building bikes for a living. They had always been a part of his life, but with help from the Man above, he found the strength to strike out on his own. He started Disciple Custom Cycles, partnering up with his friend Dave Bickmeier, who already owned Chino Custom Choppers in Chino, California.

Being brothers in faith, Henry and Dave banded together and have formed a strong alliance. This '99 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail received Henry's gifted touches like a Hi-Lo air-ride system for comfort and adjustability. A front 21-inch, 60-spoke wheel and 16-inch, 60-spoke rear wheel both featuring bamboo-cut spokes. Avon whitewall tires adorn both wheels and bring the gangster look to life.

The heavenly motivation comes from a '99 80-cubic inch Evolution motor starring an EV 27 cam, S&S Super E carb and set of Samson true dual X-over fishtail exhausts. Riverside Chrome Plating polished the engine and tranny package. Holding the fuel for the great-looking motor and tranny is an equally good looking set of stretched Fat Bob tanks. Keeping the gas in them is a set of Lo-Pro gas caps. The tanks along with the stretched rear fenders were painted by Mark Cabrera of East Los Angeles, California, while Danny D. in Baldwin Park, California, painted the flames and pinstriped the fenders and tanks.

What Henry created in seven months is the gospel of gangster bikes and it serves as rolling example of what Disciple Cycles is all about. With help from friends, family and his faith in the Lord, good things have come to Henry and the many customers lucky enough to have a bike built by him. You can find Henry any time during the week at the shop, at 13748 Iroquois Place, in lovely Chino, building bikes and praising the Lord for his blessed life.
