Where To Go For A Masterfully Designed Interior With A Few Custom Tricks.
Juan AKA "Juanito El Wizard" P. Zamarripa was born and raised in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico. Juanito started to work at an upholstery shop back in '86 after he moved to the States in search of the "American dream." Juanito began his career and learning the tricks of the trade at a time that many people say was the high point of the Lowrider Movement.
Juanito helped out around the shop and did a little of everything so that he could learn how to do upholstery on his own. Ultimately, the shop wasn't giving him the chance to spread his wings so Juanito took things upon himself, purchased a $300 sewing machine and just went at it until he had mastered his technique.
Juanito's Upholstery started to get more business after he began attending car shows and car club meetings to see what was out there and how he could get ahead of the competition. Back then, themes were the main focus of an award-winning lowrider, and things began to pay off for Juanito when word spread about the work that he was doing.
Juanito's creativity and craftsmanship were recognized with Best Upholstery awards at countless car shows, and he has the trophies to prove that he's one of the best out there to finish up your show-winning lowrider. Among Juanito's most famous interior designs is "This Bud's For You" with its custom leaf-shaped seats. He was also part of the Bomb Truck of the Year, "Pura Vida," and the nationally acclaimed "Money Talks."
Juanito's Upholstery in Riverside, California, has an established reputation and Juanito's sons are now learning and mastering the upholstery trade so watch out, you never know if his familia will be taking over the lowrider upholstery business. If you want an award-winning upholstery job, hit up Juanito and tell him that Lowrider Magazine sent you.
