The night began with a meet-and-greet social hour, featuring mariachis serenading those in attendance. After dinner, awards were presented to various members. These awards included Lifetime Achievement awards to co-founder Jesse "Papo" Sanchez, Rudy Perez, Tony Martinez and Paul Sanchez Jr. The chapters presented founder Paul Sanchez with the gift of a fully paid Puerto Rico vacation, as well as a one-of-a-kind chair, painted and fully pinstriped in his honor. The club had the Jagster Laser Cutting company create some plaques featuring the original Good Times logo, and some members wore their original club shirts, which still carried the club's original logo.
After the awards and group photos were presented, the deejay turned the music back up, and Good Times members, along with family and friends, danced and socialized until the early morning. Congratulations are in order for Good Times Car Club for celebrating their 20th anniversary in our wonderful culture. Lowrider Magazine salutes you, and we wish you continued success in your quest to bless the pavement with your countless contributions to the Lowrider Movement!
