The Brown Impressions Lowrider Car Club recently celebrated 30 years of lowriding at the Puro Lowrider Car Show at the Laredo Civic Center in Laredo, TX. The show was amazing, filled with cars, zoot suits, and dancing. The indoor/outdoor non-competitive car show was a huge success! Over 1,000 spectators attended the event as well as over 100 of the best-looking Lowrider vehicles, which all received Commemorative Special Awards at the end of the show. Some of the car clubs that attended the event are the following: Siempre Unidos, Artistic Few, Los Bajitos, Low Life, Wise Guys, Reflektions, Southern Style, Nuestro Orgullo, Nice Dreams, Lower Demensions, United Cities, Street Kings, Several Ties, Veteranos, Dreams II Reality, 1st Impressions, Backyard Hydraulics, Traditionals, Superiors, Boulevard Aces, Texas Boyz, Dukes, Da Shop, and High Torque. Many bands also came out to show some love by performing. Those bands included: DJ Luis "Kickback" Quiroz, Hard Time, Little V, Varrio Dreams, Este Vato, Genuine Illicit, Kash Kassanova, Mista Infa, Trampia, Hostile, and Konnected Ent.
Brown Impressions Lowrider Car Club was founded by President Jesus "Chuy" Martinez in 1979 and was the first Lowrider Club in Texas. Brown Impressions is also known as one of the oldest car clubs in Texas as well, some of the chapters are Zapata, Eagle Pass, Hondo, San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Hereford, Amarillo, El Paso, Pearsall, Cotulla, Uvalde in Texas, Rochester, Mn and Okeechobee, Fl. Brown Impressions take a lot of pride in helping the community by holding car shows, plate sales, as well as raffling tickets to help raise money wherever needed.
With that being said, Mayor Raul Salinas proclaimed the Brown Impressions to have a week dedicated to them on the 30th of May, which was indeed a huge honor for this Texas car club.
