Arturo Jimenez, mostly known as "Art" to the Lowriding homies, is a proud member of the Bombs Chapter of Good Times Car Club. You will typically catch Art cruising from Southern California's San Gabriel Valley over to the west side in Los Angeles. He and his family used to have nothing but newer cars but after one of them was stolen, Art decided he would just get into classic rides.

Art's first vintage vehicle was a '54 Chevy truck, which he picked up at the famous auto swap meet in Pomona, California. After having that ride for a couple years, some motivated buyers from the Far East were looking to take back some clean American classics to Japan. The offer they presented to Art was too good to refuse, so he agreed to sell them the truck and move on to something he had been interested in for a while; a convertible. After searching high and low, locally around the neighborhood and around the world online, a '49 Chevy Deluxe ragtop was found up for sale in good running condition. Art took a look at it and saw that it would need some tender loving care to build it into the show-quality condition he desired. The asking price was within his means and he was simply ready to take on this next project.

After getting the chrome around the car redone and dipped, the wiring was also tackled and taken care of. New tires, paint, a black convertible top, and some added accessories made this Deluxe a one-of-a-kind clean cruiser!

Art says he is happy with the ride now, but may install an airbag setup to lower the car down for a meaner stance. Until then, he thanks everybody who helped him with the ride and thanks his family for their loving support.
