Jose Chavez of Baldwin Park, CA., received the 2004 Silverado as a gift from his father. His plans for the trucks build were simple. “I only wanted to add airbags, paint, and some fiberglass to it,” says Jose. His simple plans for the truck came to a halt when his father passed away. Since the truck was a gift from his father, Jose decided that a simple build would not be acceptable anymore. “I decided to dedicate the truck to my father, so I knew that I had to go all-out on the build.” Jose had an overwhelming desire to be the best in the show circuit and the only way to do that was to go beyond what anyone else had done. “Most people had their rides slammed on 28-inch wheels, but I wanted to lay frame on 30s,” says Jose. SIK Fabrications were enlisted to handle that difficult task. Danny D $tudios was brought in to lay out some of his amazing patterns on the truck. Jesse, at Custom Dimensions, took care of the interior and sound system. Once the truck was complete, there was no doubt in anyone’s mind that Jose had succeeded in taking this build to the ultimate level for his father’s dedication. Jose has taken numerous first place awards and his truck is a perfect example of the direction that other truck and SUVs builders need to take their builds to. This is one truck that would certainly make any father proud. Great job, Jose!
