For Judy Ann Acosta of Delano, CA., Lowriding is an undeniable part of her life as she is a member of the Majestics bike club. The Majestics have a huge presence in Delano and Judy is more than proud to be a part of that presence. Her diligence and patience in her bike build proves her commitment to the legacy of bike customization as well as her sense of club pride, and when you see this bike, you will undoubtedly agree. The 2008 Huffy bike was initially bought for $39.99, but after 18 months and $2,100 invested, the bike was transformed into a machine worthy enough of flying the Majestics plaque. The 16-inch girl’s frame is riding on 20-inch custom made twisted spoke wheels. JR Rodriguez, of Advance Body Shop, in Delano, CA., took care of any imperfections before painting it Sublime Green with a Gold Pearl. The bike was then taken to Draggin’ Lines, in Riverside, CA., to have some fine lines and silver leafing added courtesy of the talented hands of Mike Lamberson. The seat was taken to Art Lopez, of Art’s Restore, in Wasco, CA., so that it could be reupholstered in lime green and magenta pink. Miguel “Primo” Chavez, of Compton, CA., did the custom engraving before it was taken to Robert’s Chrome Shop, in Bakersfield, CA., for the beautiful finish. Judy would like to thank the Delano Majestics bike club, her uncle, Lil Abel, for pushing her dad to build her bike, and a special thanks to her mom and dad who have and always will support her in everything she does.
