Today, the ‘65 convertible can be seen cruising down Ocean Drive on Sunday afternoons, that is, when it’s not competing throughout the Lone Star State. Built for performance, this ride carries a “no trailer necessary” motto, as Eric is a firm believer in the idea that cars are built to be driven. “I drive my car to all the shows, whether they are local or 400 miles away; it’s all about the cruise,” he beams. Don’t be surprised if you catch a glimpse of this amazing Impala while heading up I-37; most likely it is just the Tamez’ family on their latest “Payback” outing. Paz, Tejas
