Engine: OG Big Abel of Tranzas Customs installed a’96 Chevy 350 V8 Vortec engine, which was equipped with an Edelbrock Carb/Intake, fully dressed in chrome with Flowmaster dual chrome exhausts.
Body/Paint: The ’63 has a fully wrapped and molded frame, thanks to JR. Rodriguez of Advanced Body Shop of Delano, CA., and he also handled the other bodywork. The body also has a continental kit with a 42-inch moon roof. Paint on his classic was done by Sugar Bear of Silva’s Auto Art in Earlimart, CA. He used a Copper/Tangerine/Flake combination with Black urethane paint. Pearl splashes and candy fade lines were added by vet Mike Lamberson of Draggin Lines out in Riverside, CA. Murals on this Chevy come courtesy of Alberto Herrera of Quality Art in Visalia, CA., who used a “Ladies’ Night theme”. Art Lopez, of Arts Restoration in Wasco, CA wrapped the interior in black fabric and vinyl. Custom engraving was added by Miguel Chavez in the form of a custom rear wishbone.
Sound System: Diego Montemayor worked out of Delano’s Finest and installed an Alpine head unit with Alpine tweeters, mids, and 10-inch subwoofers.
Setup: A three-pump, full chrome, Pro Hopper setup was installed by Sal out of Bump and Bounce out in Kerman, CA. The setup features 8-inch front cylinders with 10-inch rear cylinders, with four switches, six Accumax Solenoids powered by four batteries. Peter, of Anaheim plating handled the chrome duties on the ’63.
