Freddy "Bigg Fred" Gutierrez, of Moorpark, California, is the self-employed Majestics Car Club president for the Ventura County chapter. Bigg Fred is not afraid to admit that he's living that Southern California Dream lifestyle of cars, women, and money. It's what he lives for and there's nothing holding him back. Flaunting that style first and foremost would be his badass '96 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham known as "Angel Dust." Many may associate that name with the less-than-legal substance found on the dark inner city streets but Bigg Fred will assure you that his Angel Dust is perfectly legal-at least with most law enforcement agencies-and it will actually give you a hit of a different kind: A visual high when it cruises past you on the boulevard!

This Caddy has been a hit with customizations from every corner and angle, to the color-matched spoke rims to the pearl-painted top. Chrome-plated additions have been added on most of the undercarriage and suspension parts and throughout the inside of the trunk. The powerful Corvette LT1 engine was cleaned up, painted, and pinstriped for eye-catching appeal under the hood. Adding more elegance to the Cadillac name, Bigg Fred had the luxurious Coach-printed fabric upholstered on many of the interior pieces. A 38-inch moonroof was installed by Juan and Rafael Nunez in Southgate, California, and Cadillac Jack in Sun Valley, California, finished off the back bumper with a custom Continental kit. Add in a custom hydraulically controlled suspension and a booming sound system and Angel Dust is an all-around "upper" for any street-side bystander

At the time of this writing, Bigg Fred told us that he is currently adding more customizations to his blue angel, like more murals, more chrome under the hood, engraving, and TV screens

He says that Angel Dust wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for the support of the Majestics Car Club (worldwide), his family, his true friends, his haters, the people directly involved with the building and customizing of this low ride, and his little angel who watches him from above. On a final note, Bigg Fred wanted to make sure he gives a shout-out to Chaco who recently passed away. He was a longtime Majestics Ventura County chapter member who is more than likely hittin' some hydraulic switches up there in the heavens and riding in spirit alongside Bigg Fred's Cadillac.

Angel Dust
Owner: Freddy "Bigg Fred" Gutierrez
Vehicle: '96 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham
City/State: Moorpark, California
Club: Majestics Car Club-Ventura County chapter

Engine/Drivetrain: Ray Munoz from Ray's Auto, in Moorpark, built up the '96 LT1 V-8. Transcare, in Camarillo, California, rebuilt the 700-R4 transmission. The engine received paint and pinstriping by Bob Coslett, Bigg Fred's friend.

Interior: Juan Luis at Magseleno Upholstery hooked up this clean Caddy with a unique look, matching up new tan leather, light blue carpet, and baby blue Coach designs on the pillars, vanity mirrors, and third brake light. Some custom embroidery, which was done by Diane at Up in Stitches in Moorpark, finished up the final touches on the inside, while the trunk also received a makeover by Majestics' Ventura County member "Lil' Rick."

Body/Paint: Formula 1, in Reseda, California, did any necessary bodywork before handing the Caddy over to Juan C. Galvan from Juan's Custom Paint in Winnetka, California. Juan used a Diamont paint system with RM pearls, a Maui Blue base with powder blue, purple, gold pearls, and toners. Mike Lamberson of Draggin' Lines in Ontario, California, added the fine lines of his pinstriping, and Taz Roc in Hollywood added airbrushed murals depicting devious dusted designs.

Sound System: 805 Customs in Moorpark installed a Pioneer head unit and two Hi-Fonics 1,000-watt amplifiers to power up two 1-inch Pioneer tweeters, two 6.5-inch three-way Pioneer midrange speakers, two 6x9-inch four-way Pioneer midrange speakers, and two MTX 7500 woofer speakers. "Cheeseburger" from In IV Life Car Club installed three TVs and the 24-inch color bar that was purchased from Hugo at More Bounce Hydraulics through Ted Wells.

Set Up: Augie Gomez from Lugo's Hydraulics in Oxnard, California, got down to business on the custom suspension. Two chrome and anodized hydraulic pumps push the weight to two chrome 8-inch cylinders in the front and two chrome 10-inch cylinders in the rear. Three square dumps, two Prestolite anodized blocks, and chrome More Bounce springs round off the undercarriage. The system is powered by six painted Trojan batteries and controlled by four switches. Cholo from 805 Customs handled the chassis work by reinforcing the stress points on the frame as well as molding and plating the A-arms, rear end, and trailing arms. He finished the job with the 805 Customs signature battery rack.
