Pachuco has now added a bike club to the family. Marty Parra was instrumental in organizing this next generation in the Pachuco family. The bike club follows the same values and principles put in place by the car club. Both the car and bike clubs stay active not only in the lowrider culture but in the community as well. It's not uncommon to see the club represented at fund-raisers, car shows, or community events. The club has been profiled by Speed Channel's Living the Low Life, www.latinola.com, and commended by Congressman Howard Berman for its community service.
Like with most of the lowrider car clubs today, family plays a huge role in its success. When we asked different club members what attracted them to the club, each one responded the same way: The fact that the club was family oriented as well as the respectful nature of the club. While we were at the photo shoot for this feature, the family involvement and respectfulness was evident and very welcoming.
So what does the club have planned for the future? To continue to carefully expand in Northern California and to continue to educate people on the positive image of the Pachuco. The club plans to continue to set the bar for classic car enthusiasts and build a Lowrider of the Year contender. In the short time that the club has been out, and through the years of experience from their members, they have made an impact on the culture in a positive way. We know they will continue to do so, and we wish them success while they roll to a classic style.
