While visiting Denver, Colorado, during this year's Lowrider Tour stop, we fell in love with the custom trunk that we spotted in Fabian Camacho's '98 Lincoln Town Car rolling out of Kansas City, Missouri. This full-size luxury vehicle was hooked up with all of the commodities that we look for in a lowrider.
Fabian's "Most Hated" Town Car has a stylish hydraulics setup and sound system that give him the best of both worlds. As the owner of Street Rider Hydraulics, Fabian wanted to create a car that shows off the work that the shop produces. The Street Riders crew started off by gutting the trunk to allow room for the six 31-series batteries that power the setup. Fabian plumbed two 1-inch aluminum Pro Hopper pumps to hold the two Italian dumps and one Adex dump that control the fluids that run through the #8 cylinders.
The trunk also has a decent sound system that was created by Stone Customs in Kansas City, where they made sure to fiberglass the trunk and incorporate a single 12-inch Audiobahn speaker that can be seen working through the Plexiglas-boxed speaker. Creative Classics painted the panels and speakers, which were accented with chrome and a touch of red to tie in all of the colors used in the trunk compartment.
This Town Car has it all, including a hot hydraulics setup that's the main focal point in the trunk. Congratulations to Fabian, who made it all of the way to Denver with his "Most Hated" Lincoln and allowed us to feature his custom trunk compartment.

This month's audio spotlight was also found at this year's Lowrider Denver show. Local Denver resident Miguel Carillo spotted us coming down the aisle and wanted us to check out his trunk. As with most builders, he was proud of his '89 "box" Chevy and asked us if it was good enough to make our Dumps & Bumps section. The answer is evident today as Miguel did well with what he had to work with.
Working on a budget, Miguel pieced together the components needed to make a monster sound system. Once Miguel had everything together, he paid a visit to the oldest lowrider shop in Denver, Robert's Tires & Wheels on Federal Street. For those of you who have never been to the Mile High City, Federal is their Whittier Boulevard. The men at Robert's took on the task of installing an air suspension setup and sound system that would fit under the trunk lid.
Little Robert started off by getting all of the equipment and then it was time to figure out how to install three Rockford Fosgate amplifiers, two 12-inch Rockford Fosgate woofers, two stiffening caps, and one Optima yellow top for a secondary battery. Robert and Donnie Williams built the speaker box skeleton and followed it up by gelling it in fiberglass. Once done, it was painted by Mike and then Little Robert wired in the 3,000-plus watts of power for the music that would rock the box Chevy.
This complete build took two months as it was juggled through Robert's Tires & Wheels schedule. The result of Miguel's patience while building his trunk compartment is a nice layout that you're seeing today. Keep up the good work.
