If you're really into the lowriding bombs, you may recall another Orange County, California-built Chevy Fleetline that was featured a few years ago (June 2005 issue) known as the "Untouchable Fleetline." It was built and owned by Jason Bray, the Anaheim resident who works full-time as a shop supervisor for an industrial company. After learning a few things with that '48, Jason was ready to take on his next project with a serious vengeance. This time, he came across a '47 Fleetline being sold for a mere $3,000 out in Tucson, Arizona, by a friend of his.
Jason tells LRM that even though he didn't waste any time getting the ball rolling on this new project ride, he still spent many long days and nights working on it. One of the first stops this bomba made outside of Jason's home quarters was over at Go-EZ in Placentia, California, where they installed a custom hydraulic setup. Jason loves the low look and he asked them to go as low as they could, giving the Fleetline a serious body drop.
In the midst of making major progress on his ride, a bigger surprise emerged into Jason's life as his wife gave birth to his newborn son. This may have really made things in Jason's ordinary daily routine change, but it ultimately didn't slow him down on his goal of finishing the '47.
Next came paint and upholstery for the exterior and interior, respectively, and in the meanwhile, Jason made constant trips over to Bumpers Choice Plating in Santa Fe Springs, California, dropping off bumpers and accessories for the Fleetline to be dipped in a deep luster of chrome. He continued to use his secretive means of finding those hard-to-find parts and accessories for old Chevys and progressively had his ride reassembled, more complete than ever before. A grille guard, GM peep mirror, vent shades, fog lights, visors, rear wiper, back-up light, rear pull-down, wrap-arounds, GM gas cap and banjo steering wheel were just some of the parts that Jason was able to come up with.

Engine: 216-c.i.d. '47 Chevy built by Jack over at Jack's Quality Auto in Norwalk, California. The engine features triple carbs, lots of chrome, headers and straight pipes, and works in unison with the '56 Chevy truck three-speed transmission.
Body/Paint: Mike Rocha at Placentia Auto Body in Placentia, California, had the honors of doing the bodywork on this bomba, smoothing the body, prepping it for paint and ultimately spraying PPG wine cherry paint over all. Kim Dedic of Fullerton, California, added finishing touches in the form of pinstriping.
Interior: L's Upholstery in Anaheim had their lead upholsterer stitch up a Beachwood beige interior with matching piping. Good friend "Vic" also of Anaheim helped out by adding some elegant wood grain.
Sound System: Car Stereo Connection in Anaheim installed a Kenwood head unit hooked up to a Rockford Fosgate amplifier, two 1-inch tweeter speakers, two 6.5-inch midrange speakers, and one 10-inch woofer.
Setup: Go-EZ Suspensions in Placentia installed a two-pump, four-dump hydraulic setup. The setup is controlled by any of the four switches, allowing the Fleetline to do front, back and side-to-side stances. Three batteries power the setup, which is based on a stock front end and a step-notched coil-over rear suspension.
