Rick Flores of Moorpark, California, has always been into lowriding-from model cars to lowrider bicycles, hydraulic hoppers and now this beautiful brown big-body '96 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. Rick is well known as a single-pump hopper and, with five King of the Streets trophies to his credit, he decided that it was time to take a break from hopping and build a clean show car.
Time was of the essence with this build, not because of a looming show deadline, but just so Rick "could be on the streets, rolling with my fellow Majestics club members." Three months later-after stops at C&L Hydraulics in Sylmar, California, for the suspension makeover and hydraulics installation, and RM Customs in Reseda, California, for the exterior renovation-the finished car was back in Rick's garage, surpassing his wildest dreams.
"The car was definitely built for the street," Rick reports. "So if it's not at a show, picnic or whatever, it's cruisin' somewhere or another." Rick makes a point of thanking everyone who helped him make this car possible. Oh, and when asked about the vehicle's name "Freaky Behavior" (and with lingerie on display), Rick just laughed.

Engine/Drivetrain: The stock 350-c.i.d. LT1 engine was treated to paint and other custom touches by Bob Coslett of Simi Valley, California.
Body/Paint: Ricardo Muoz at RM Customs in Reseda, California, was entrusted with the exterior makeover. After prepping the body, with modifications including the addition of a castle grille, bumper kit and 38-inch moonroof (by Rafael and Juan Nuez of South Gate, California), he laid down a PPG chestnut paint job sealed with gallons of clearcoat. Bob Coslett applied gold leaf and tan pinstripes, and Taz-Roc of Hollywood, California, supplied the murals that Rick describes as "kinky and freaky." David Renteria of Artistic Impressions added the glass engraving, and whenever Rick needed to go for the gold, he called Tony at Ace Plating in Canoga Park, California.
Interior: Mostly stock
Sound System: A Panasonic head unit unit/CD player pushes the freaky beats well enough, though Rick wants to add a TV or two in the future.
Setup: Rick knows hydros and what they can do to a late-model luxury ride, so he had his man "Chino" at C&L Hydraulics in Sylmar, California, rework the suspension with reinforced and molded A-arms before installing a chrome-plated two-pump Pro Hopper whammy tank setup with 6-inch (front) and 12-inch (rear) cylinders, 3.5-ton springs, four switches and six painted batteries. Chino also handled the chrome dipping duties. Rick himself fabricated the tan vinyl trunk panels with Majestics logo embroidery provided by Up In Stitches of Moorpark.
