Jermaine's '85 Caprice is putting it down on the streets of Los Angeles as it's been bumper-checking hoppers all over Southern California. The radical lock-up on the rear suspension allows the Caprice to hop over the average guy, while the collapsible telescopic cylinders allow the car to look and function like a regular car.
Given the green light by Jermaine, George and Jose at Blvd. Hydraulics made sure that the car was built to lock and lay. This street hopper was built in a two-week time frame, long enough to prove a point as they made sure to keep the bumpers on the car. They wanted to build a car that could be seen on the street and not on a trailer. Not to worry, this Caprice has been seen cruising the boulevard looking for victims to be served.
All in all, not too bad for a two-week project. We'll have to see what's next for this street hopper. Rumor has it that Jermaine wants to make it into a show hopper. Only time will tell. He's already achieved Back Bumper status.
