The last time that we featured a car belonging to a member of the Aragon family, it was Michael Aragon's '61 Chevy Impala, "Blue Magic," in the November '04 "Flip The Script" issue. Well, now it's brother Raymond Aragon's turn. Now, you might not think that a '68 Dodge Dart could ever be an absolutely evil lowrider, but Raymond made it happen, with a little help from his family ties.
"I inherited the '68 from my uncle Anthony, who passed away 10 years ago," recalls Raymond. "At first, I didn't know what to do with the car. However, with the help of my father and two brothers, Michael and Tommie, it began to take on a life of its own. Everyone involved put a little of themselves into this car, slowly turning it into what everyone enjoys and sees today."
Raymond calls the "Canyon City" of Azusa, California, home, and he utilized the talents of several San Gabriel Valley car customizers, including his father and brothers at Backyard Boogies in nearby Pasadena, California, to make his "Devil's Advocate" Dodge such an irrestibly delicious driver.
Family means everything to Raymond. "This car's in memory of my uncle, Anthony Aragon, and my brother Michael," relates Raymond, who also sends a special thank you to his late brother. "Michael, I love you and I know that you're watching over us all."
