It was a member-to-member pink slip deal in a dimly lit garage. That's how it went down. Jeremy Jones met face to face with a fellow member of Low Conspiracy Car Club, who began work on an '82 Cadillac Coupe DeVille some years before, but was more than willing to relinquish California ownership rights... for a small price, that is.
The best thing about the DeVille deal was that the hardest part was already done. The Caddy sported a deep and dark multicolor candy paint job and, with a certain eye towards the sun's reflection, wicked blue, purple and red colored patterns quickly come to the surface like the contents of a newly discovered treasure chest.Life under the hood is good. Jeremy ensures lasting endurance with constant oil checks, detailed fine-tuning and surgical cleanliness. The jam-packed engine bay features custom treatments like chroming and color-coordinated paint schemes. So from scheming, dreaming to a done deal, the motor effortlessly glides Jeremy to the nearest cruisin' outpost in Vacaville, California.
Refined design. As an interior designer and material machinist, "Rich The Stitch" (Watsonville, California) is more than qualified to freshen up the cabin with blue and purple tweed. And as preferred, Jeremy was satisfied with the comfortable tweed crafted in the original Cadillac pattern. And peering along the dashboard shows how the tweed was contoured to every surface, big and small.
So now that the seating arrangement was updated and customized, further fine-tuning is found in the Kenwood stereo system. Jeremy's audio management relies on an AM/FM stereo receiver with a CD player and a cleverly hidden array of Kenwood midrange and subwoofer speakers. A trip to the trunk is always exciting because you go from volts of bass to volts of juice. "Juice" is a known slang word for hydraulics powered with 12-volt batteries. The question of what's in the trunk gets answered when it springs partially open.
Jeremy is pleased with how the club insider deal worked out. "Not only was I looking for a car like this to finish," says Jeremy of the candy Caddy with cool cruisin' power, "but I think that it was looking for me too."

Interior: Multicolored blue and purple tweed with patterns fill this DeVille. "Rich The Stitch" of Watsonville, California, is the guilty party. The custom painted Grant steering wheel was handled by Harold James.
Sound System: Putting sweet music in this "Kandy" cruiser is an all-Kenwood system with 6-inch speakers in the doors and 8-inch subwoofers in the trunk, all installed by the owner with help from club member David.
Setup: Jeremy received help from friends, including Pablo Contreras and Alfredo Espinosa, on the suspension and hidden-type of hydro setup featuring two black-on-black pumps, Delta dumps, 8-inch cylinders, 1-ton chrome springs, three group 31 partially exposed 12-volt batteries and four switches.Tires: 5.20 whitewalls
