Funny how things happen sometimes. During the photo shoot for this month's center car, we ordered some Mexican food for lunch. Lance McIntosh of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was under the gun trying to think of a name for his '93 Cadillac Fleetwood and the answer to his dilemma fell in his lap... literally. After picking up a big green chili that came with lunch, the answer to his question was clear, "Green Chili." The Caddy is as bright and hot as the sun, and has many an aspiring car builder wanting to paint their vehicle this color when they see it.

Lance's story with this car started in Portland, Oregon, where Lance lived and was a mechanical engineer for several years. A club member decided to sell the project that he had started and Lance picked up where the owner left off. Being a Uce C.C. member in Portland, Lance learned from fellow members what it takes to build a visually appealing vehicle and applied everything that he had learned to Green Chili.

With his fabrication and welding abilities, Lance found out that he was actually quite handy in the car realm and a year ago decided to start his own shop, Show Quality Customs in Albuquerque. Lance is already working on his next project-a two-door Caddy, so you can look for another hot look from the gang at Show Quality Customs.
