Most guys would love to have a woman like Patricia "Lady Blue" Momon. She's someone who appreciates a well-done lowrider and is herself an enthusiast. Her husband, "Blue," was smart enough to marry her, and together they're one lowriding family. Being self-employed, Lady Blue owns her own company, Family Affair, which makes and sells ceramic carousels and figurines, custom painted and accessorized in any color and anyway you like. She's self-taught and she got into the business much the same way that she got into lowriding.
After going to a few shops, Lady Blue became interested in ceramics and figured that she could do even better with it and started her own business. Being a woman in lowriding is a lonely road, one where you're often taken advantage of because you're a women and not always in the know. Lady Blue made the observation, "I really don't notice too many women owning cars," but we think maybe that's because we haven't really gone out of our way to spotlight them; hence this issue.
Check out Lady Blue's ride and you can see that she's all about riding out in style in her '93 Cadillac Fleetwood, which is in no way, shape or form a trailer queen. The car gets driven regularly and rolls out to the shows with hubby, who's currently working on a '64 Chevy Impala. Vmax at Ultimate Hydraulics is known for building some hard-hitting street/show setups and this one is no different with the frame receiving a full wrap, a compliment of quality parts and chroming by Best Chroming in Pomona, California. Vmax did a majority of the work and his vast experience gained from his many King of the Streets challenges to building show-winning cars made this ride possible along with fellow Ultimate Riders Car Club members.
One of the main things that remained in the back of Lady Blue's mind for this project was to get featured here in the pages of Lowrider Magazine, and it's more than our pleasure to make it happen. Anything for the ladies.
