It was almost 40 years ago when Harvey Reyes started Carnales Unidos. The car club name literally translates to "Brothers United" and while it physically stands as a car club, it is what the car club stands for which is most intriguing. "The main purpose for me starting the club was to unify the community while giving back," says Mr. Reyes. In staying true with his club's values, for the past few decades they have thrown a total of nine car shows, the proceeds of which are donated to either a community individual or a non-profit agency. This year, the proceeds went to former U.S Army Cpl. Wesley Leon-Barrientos of Bakersfield, California, who lost both his legs while serving our country in Iraq.

Harvey Reyes, a Lowrider Hall of Famer was able to bring in several infamous rides and individuals such as Gypsy Rose, Twilight Zone, Mike Lopez, and Jesse Valdez Jr. Along with those legendary cars and builders, an additional 450 of the cleanest rides from the Central Valley attended.

The Carnales Unidos always makes sure that the show is one that can be enjoyed by the whole family. The classic cars and motorcycles will keep dad entertained, while the kids enjoy the jumpers and the rest of the games in the kids zone. Of course we can't forget about the live entertainment from MC Magic and a list of others.

"On behalf of Carnales Unidos CC we would like to thank everyone for their continued support in making our annual custom car show a special event. Your participation, dedication, and passion for lowriders helps us all to continue with our involvement. We will continue to try as a car club to bring you this type of community event for all to enjoy."
