Four years ago a fellow lowrider David O' Brien was involved in a serious car accident. The club he belonged to Chosen Few C.C. decided to hold a benefit show to raise money for all his medical expenses. As one of the very few shows held in rural Pennsylvania, it became very popular. The following year Chosen Few along with other local businesses decided to put on the show again this time benefiting non-profit organizations. Most of the Chosen Few riders have military backgrounds so most of the proceeds went to supporting them. As well as serving military programs, Show N Shine also donates to the Toys for Tots program throughout the show.
Show N Shine Part 4 was held at the spacious Maple Grove Park in Mohnton, Pennsylvania. Some of the clubs in attendance were Lowrider Connection, Universal Motorsports, 412 Riders, Just Klownin, TruEastSidaz, Supreme, Drastic C.C., Nuthin But Love B.C., Loyalty, Street Dreamz, Lowrider Ladies and Aluminodi Customs. The sponsors include Eddie's Garage, Stairway to Heaven Promotions, Color Wheel Tattoos, Servin' Em and DJ Eddie Ed.
Show promoter Mike Cifredo and wife Cat wish to thank everyone for coming out for a good cause. "All proceeds from this show are donated to organizations that need support," Mike shares with LRM, "I'm proud of my fellow PA lowriders that they are a continuing part of this." With a hop contest, giveaways, raffle prizes and custom hand-built trophies, Show N Shine is emerging as one of the best shows on the East Coast.
