Downtown Pomona, California--For the 4th year in a row, Downtown Pomona will host the annual "Doin' It For The Kids" Car & Bike Show which raises funds for the Gang Resistance Education and Training (GREAT) Program Annual Youth Campout.

Organized by the Viejitos of Original Orange County and the Pomona community, the show is scheduled for Saturday, June 2 at Thomas Plaza and Second Street in Downtown Pomona. "Doin' It For The Kids" is the largest car show held in downtown. It is the talk of the town and people come from all over southern California to spend a summery day checking out the beautiful Chevy's, Fords, lowriders, hot rods and, kustom cars. There is also a great display of motorcycles and custom bicycles.

According to organizer Maggie Marquez, "The event is a lot of fun but we do it to raise funds for the G.R.E.A.T. Annual Campout. We take 300 inner-city kids to the Pomona Fairplex for an overnight campout and a visit to the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum-one of our sponsors. We also purchase bicycles and raffle them off to the kids."

Best of Show will receive $100 cash prize and raffles will be conducted throughout the event. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Wino playing 1950's Rock-n-Roll, Wino Boogie, Zombie 51, and Boarder Town.
