For the past decade, "The Old Line State" of Maryland has been rocked by an amazing Lowrider show, put together annually by the Street Dreamz Car Club. Last year's picnic was huge, and Street Dreamz C.C. President, Dana Powell, decided to utilize a new venue for this year's get together in hopes that it would accommodate a larger crowd. As the noon roll-in time approached, hundreds of full custom vehicles gathered at Gilbert Run Park in Charlotte Hall, Maryland for this spectacular tenth anniversary picnic. The visual playground of colors was heaven to the custom Lowrider enthusiasts, who were treated to some of the area's best and most unique low-lows. Gilbert Run Park is equipped with a playground and water rides, making the location perfect for the entire family; something that Street Dreamz focuses on for their events. As the kids enjoyed the variety of activities, the owners and spectators spent hours checking out the newest in modifications, paint schemes, and automotive restoration details.

The Young Survivor Coalition was on hand raising money for Cancer research, and they passed pink awareness cupcakes out to a receptive public, who not only loved the sweet confections, they also were glad to spread the word about Cancer research. Sponsored by Servin Em' Lowrider DVD's and Ink Junkees Tattoos, the picnic was filled to capacity; the only suitable crowd for one of the East Coast's best hydraulic hop competitions. This year's spotlight went to the Islanders C.C., who launched their Toyota pickup into the air and then dazzled the packed house with an incredible truck dance show. Among the car clubs showing their love and support on the day were Urban Legends, Good Times, Rollerz Only, Individuals, Chosen Few, Just Klownin, Street Nations, Modern Times, Usual Suspects, and Lowrider Connection, to name a few.

As one spectator Patti Dukes remarked, "Street Dreamz always has the best gathering in Maryland." She explains to LRM, "For the last ten years, it's been on our calendar." She is definitely not alone, as there were tons of supporters on hand for this annual event. Between the barbecue grills and perfect weather, Gilbert Run Park was the perfect place for family and friends to enjoy the finest vehicles, and to get a taste of what the Lowrider lifestyle is all about. All in all, everyone was treated to a perfect day of custom cars and fun in the sun. Street Dreamz and the sponsors wish to thank all who came out and supported the club for the past ten years, and they vow to be there for the next ten years!
