On July 25, 2010, Luxurious C.C. (British Columbia Chapter) set the stage for British Columbia’s premier Lowriding event at the Tudor Ale House. The beautiful skies above brought out the hottest muscle, import, mini-truck and of course, Lowriders from across the region. Vehicles from Washington State even made the journey across the border to participate in Luxurious Car Club’s first ever car show.
Earl “The Pearl” provided his flat deck truck to be the stage for the day, allowing the Snake Pitt crew to put on an amazing show by spinning the hottest hip hop and old school jams. As the event progressed, it was clear to see that all of the local car clubs and solo riders were in full attendance. Clubs included were Bigtimers C.C., Uce CC, Rollerz Only C.C., Majestics C.C., Acrophobiacs C.C., West Coast Kings, Unity C.C., Wicked Illusions, and Compadres C.C., from Washington State. By mid-afternoon, the venue was at full capacity.
Tudor provided great food and drinks all day long, but Robin Toor stole the show is his lifted Ice Cream truck on 20”s named Dubilicious. Every corner of the venue was full of quality rides. Another standout car was exhibited by Jan from Uce; his two-door Lincoln Towncar made its debut and was a definite crowd pleaser.
As the crowds grew larger and larger, the excitement reached a peak, as it was time to hop. Unity brought out their ‘84 Monte Carlo, which that blew the competition away. They also took the best club participation honors for the day. “Best of’s” were given in every class, but the most highly honored award, best of show, went to Joe Basi from Rollerz Only with his 1963 Chevy Impala convertible which was featured in Lowrider magazine. By the end of the day, it was evident to see that Lowriding in BC is strong and will continue to grow thanks to quality shows like this one.
