The first weekend in May 2010, there was a bomb scare in Downey California! Old Memories San Gabriel Valley chapter, in conjunction with the Downey Chamber of Commerce, held a car show at Downey High School.
Old Memories attracted some of the best bombs and show rides from all over Southern California. Orange County's HB Gabachos, Duke's, Bomb Pride, Royal Image, Antique Style, and Viejitos came out to support the show. There were also a few distant chapters of Old Memories that came out to support the show and show love to the San Gabriel Valley chapter. The show had a nice mixture of bombs, Lowrider bikes and traditional Lowriders, and in true Old Memories form, there was something for everyone at the show.
Once again, DJ Chente played a great selection of music throughout the day and kept the crowd thoroughly entertained. The show grounds also had plenty of vendors at the show, selling everything from music, to videos and clothing. The chamber of commerce also set up a children's play area, and a street fair at the high school, so when you were done checking out the show, you could grab something to eat and let your kids play in the play area.
The day concluded with the trophy presentation and soon after, everyone packed up and headed home. Congratulations to Old Memories and the Downey Chamber of Commerce on a very successful event!
