The fourth annual Traffic Car Club Car Show had a major change of venue this year. The location of the show was moved from downtown Upland, California to the year old Citizens Bank Arena in neighboring Ontario, California. Built and owned by the city of Ontario, the arena is state-of-the-art in nature and was the perfect venue for a show of this size and caliber. The Lowrider community was buzzing with excitement throughout 2009, to the point that you could almost feel the anticipation in the air as the days got closer to the show date. The day of the show, over 600 vehicles were on the grounds of the arena, with many coming from out of town the day before to make sure they were well-rested for show day. Traffic hosted participants from Northern California, Las Vegas and many of the neighboring communities in and around Southern California.

Some of the clubs in attendance included Together, Down South, One Bad Creation, Oldies, Viejitos, Style, Aztec Image, Socios and Lifestyle Car Club. Lifestyle debuted former Euro of the Year Champion Ronnie Payan's drop-top Impala and Mister Cartoon's '61 hard top. The club was also the show's biggest winner, taking home Best of Show honors and Club Participation honors. Traffic made sure it had trophy classes for a wide variety of build styles and models, so it's not surprising that the trophy presentation went on for quite a while after the show ended.
"The Hosts With The Most"
The show spectators and participants were entertained throughout the day with raffles, live entertainment, and music from the deejay. Traffic raffled off various items from sponsors like Hooters, Martin Senior Paint, Denny's, Sam's Club, and Arby's. There was food and drink available at the show, and in the area surrounding the arena. All in all, the show was a huge success for both Traffic Car Club and the Lowrider community. In 2010, the show will return to the Citizens Bank Arena in November, so if you missed it in 2009, make sure that you make plans to be there for the 5th annual show.
