It was like any other spring day in Hollywood, Florida. The temperature was soaring into the 90's, beautiful women were everywhere, and the music was pumping full blast. Normally, you might mistake this for a beach setting or some other spring break related event, but on this day in Florida, hundreds of custom lowrider vehicles filed into the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for the first annual Car Warz Seminole Car Show. Promoter Eric Osceola has been in the custom car industry for over two years and decided it was time to get everyone together for a little fun in the sun.If the beautiful ladies weren't enough to entice you, the $1000 first place cash awards certainly were. Some of the classics made an appearance, including Certified Gangster, the once LRM cover car and Lowrider of the Year, which was displayed royally on jack stands. The crew from 25th Street Riders, who exploded onto the lowrider scene with force, had a lineup of vehicles that dazzled the majority of the crowd. UCE Car Club from Miami had their top cars in full effect, wowing the onlookers with a flashy display of candy and flake. Members from the Majestics Car Club were definitely on top of their game and had some serious show winners. Rollin Car Club, a club from Miami, Florida also had their custom rides out for all to see and gathered some serious attention from the attendees.
As the crowd juggled time between car judging and women watching, they were treated to local musical performances on the main stage throughout the day, followed by a bikini contest that couldn't have gotten any hotter. A hard body contest was put together for the ladies and cash prizes were given to the winners. Classic Angels Car Club enticed the crowd with a hop contest, delighting the restless enthusiasts by sending their bright yellow Buick Regal skyward in seconds.
The award portion saw battles that will surely be the topic of discussion and debate for years to come. The true competitors will really have to work to make sure their vehicles stay at the top of their game if they want to maintain their status in the Sunshine State. "It was a learning experience," Eric tells us, "I'm glad everyone had a good time and we will definitely make this an annual show."
