We woke up early enough on Sunday to catch a couple of people still trying to move into the Arena. With more than 10 thousand people lining up to see the show and more than 500 cars on display, this year's Houston show was one of the biggest Texas shows in the history. Major sponsors like Quaker State, Nitto Tires, the U.S. Army, CCE Hydraulics and Thump Records were in the house with tons of goodies to be given away at the show.
While touring the Arena, we caught up with individuals and members of a few of the hometown lowrider car clubs who were representing Houston to the fullest. On hand were Latin Kustoms, Latin Cartel, Latin Image, Juiced, Houston Stylez, Blvd. Aces, Rollerz Only, Klique, Infinity, Dallas, Legions, Outstanding, South Side and Brown Pride, just to name a few. With tons of trophies and lots of cash given away, the competition was fierce.
The stage also witnessed one of the best concerts on the Tour, especially when Mike Jones took over the stage. Hometown hero Chingo Bling also did his thing with his pet rooster. After that, it was time for the world-famous Bikini Contest, where the sexy Annie ended up taking home the cash thanks to her signature moves and seductive dancing. After the show, we hit the streets of H-town with a grin on our face, happy to be back in the Lone Star State where even the lowrider shows are bigger than life.
