Once again, Nick Hernandez did his thing by putting on one of the biggest shows in West Texas; Odessa, to be exact. This little town has seen much action over the 35 years that Nick has promoted this strong show. The most recent event was such a success that more than 500 cars showed up to compete with the best of the best in the lowrider industry.
Major car clubs attending the event included Rollerz Only, Uce, Imperials, Latin Kustoms, Estilo, Klique, Unique Arrivals, Brown Impressions, Dallas Lowriders, Majestics, Presence and Odessa's own Taste Of Latin. All rolled into the show with their heavy hitters for a day of fun in the sun. The show was also full of spectators, families and, of course, hot Texas women. There were pretty models walking the show and posing for pictures with the spectators.
There were many cars indoors and they still had to make room for some 200 cars that were sitting out in the sun. In fact, there was a sea of candy, flake and chrome that seemed like a colorful mirage. The multitude of gleaming cars made you want to walk the entire show and check 'em all out; that is, until you heard a zooming sound and metal crashing onto asphalt, and you realized that there must be a hopping pit; a realization that's confirmed when you saw the front end of an Impala looming over the crowd and scraping the sky as it hopped for extra inches.
The crowd gathered at the hopping pit to check out the hot hydraulics action and head-to-head combat where mad switchmen were doing their best to take out their opponents. After the hop, people headed to the main event, where Three 6 Mafia rocked the house and brought a little extra fun to the Tejano Super Show.
