Remembering Pat Burciaga

The heavens took back yet another one of their angels and it's with deep regret and sympathy to announce that Pat Burciaga is no longer with us - at least in a physical sense. She was a warm and caring individual that was resilient to any conflict and the only person I knew that could lead with a smile.

Pat was always punctual, on top of things and I'm sure everyone on the staff could agree that she baked a mean cake. She was, and will remain, for many of us a great friend and a confidant that we could always trust and count on. She taught a lot of us about patience, led by example and at the time of her passing many of us really didn't know how to react but we did know that we were blessed and honored to have been given the opportunity to meet such a great friend and an ever more incredible woman.

But if you were lucky enough to know her, then you already know that she was so much more than what's written in this letter. In fact, a novel could be written about her compassion, artwork created from her warm smile and the lessons learned from her patience and overall wisdom are priceless.

Pat will forever be missed but never forgotten and it's with our deepest sympathies that we pass our condolences to her family and friends. She was a highly respected friend and coworker to all of us and while her influence is indescribable in words we can positively tell you is that she will go on to form great friendships with souls elsewhere and continue the tradition and legacy that she has left with us all.
